My time is a little bit more flexible on the weekend with which I usually prepare a large Sunday meal including dessert. My family deserves to indulge in a desert every now and again. Dessert is meant to be a sweet treat to top off a great meal. Yet the problem is commonly found recipes for desserts are usually full of sugar and nothing good for you. The key is to indulge in something sweet with out it being full of calories and sugar, so that you may actually INDULGE and enjoy a dessert! With that in mind I came put together this recipe full of fiber, including oats and flax seeds, served alongside warm apples and pears drizzled in honey. It’s absolutely yummy!
Guilty: Funfetti Chex Buddies Candy
While perusing Pinterest a few months ago I ran across a pin for “Funfetti Cake Batter Buddies” from SixSistersStuff.com. Now, Funfetti has a special place in my heart since it is the absolute BEST batter to use in the Babycakes Cake Pop Maker – so I have it on hand at all times. I also have been known to stick my head in the mixing bowl to make sure not to waste any of the yummy batter – all the while hearing my grandmother scold me from heaven about ingesting raw eggs in the batter… So the idea of a CANDY – that I can eat freely without the threat of salmonella poisoning….. I’M IN!!!
